Good food in San Fran???
Just stopped in San Fran for the night...the wife and I were looking for a good place to eat tonight. I was thinking about Gary Danko possibly, but if anyone has a place we should hit let me know! We are at the W on 3rd st. somewhat close to Fisherman's Wharf if that helps...thanks in advance!

If you want to try something different, try Dosa on Fillmore its a very highend indian food place. Its a lounge and a nice place to hang out. Also Cafe Kati is really really good. Its not a cafe its a high end joint off Fillmore again.
Cafe Kati

San Francisco, CA 94115

See if you can get in. It will be worth it. Trust me.

If you are in the mood for Chinese, try R&G Lounge in Chinatown.

Good to hear a recommendation for this place - I'm headed to R&G on Friday night for dinner. I'm flying out to San Fran for a foodie/wineries weekend over the holiday.
I havent ever been out there, but these are the restaurants we picked based on our research for our weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun):- Swan Oyster Depot for lunch, R&G lounge for dinner
- Yank Sing for brunch, The Restaurant at Meadowood for fancy dinner
- Solbar for brunch to try the Lucky Pig, and Ad Hoc for dinner
That list should cover all of our meals for the long weekend out there with a bunch of wineries squeezed in between, can't wait
