Default Scotch on the Rocks: Literally.

    Awesome/well executed idea I think

    Scotch on the rocks…literally.
Scotch drinkers know that temperature is key. Our hand-cut and polished granite stones, when “chilled,” cool your whiskey without melting, allowing the true flavors to come alive for a more refined and sophisticated encounter. You see, we believe there’s no reason to dilute your Scotch or your experience of it.

Each set of Scotch Rocks contains eight cubes, nested in a simple but elegant wooden box – the perfect item to complete any bar. Store in the liquor cabinet or in the freezer, box and all. When it’s that time, reach for your favorite whiskey, drop in two or three chilled stones, and sit back… down-shift into first, and savor the moment as well as the strong and subtle tastes of your spirit.
Treat a Scotch drinker you know to a potentially life-changing set, and pick one up for yourself while you’re at it. Trust us, your single-malt deserves a set of Scotch Rocks and damn-it, so do you.
Don't wish it were easier, wish you were better.

Scotch is meant to be enjoyed with a hint of spring water (thus, on the rocks to dilute) enhances the flavors and taste but cool concept for sure! I can see being popular with vodka drinks. Just got to make sure you don't try and eat one!!

cooling down the spirit retards the activity of the volatiles that provide the aroma and taste. If you are paying big bucks for a nice scotch but then cooling it down so you cant taste all the flavors you paid for, I don't see the point.

This is for the pure purpose of "on the rocks"...You may enjoy your scotch a different way

It's a neat concept. I found one version at scotch-on-the-rocks.com for $75 bucks that comes with 2 stones, and 2 glasses + wooden box. How much does this one cost and where can I get it. I Googled "scotch rocks granite" and didn't find it...

Nm. I found it... check out www.stonechilled.com/. They're only asking $25 + s/h. Very reasonable. They would make a great "ice breaker" at parties.
