Is it more of an acquired taste or do they make better flavored tofu?

You can make tofu the flavor of anything you want really. That's the beauty of it.

good bit of protein, it's basically what vegans use for protein. It will also take on the flavor of anything you marinate or cook it in.

We tried a veg lifestyle for a bit, I sliced up a block of firm tofu, dredged it in egg and coated it with Italian seasoned Panko breadcrumbs and cooked it in a thin layer of olive oil, topped it with cheese and tomatoes, it was fantastic.
