I was going to mention Blue Crabs as well. I love getting them fresh from the DC wharf!

The Chesapeake is also famous for it's bay oysters and clams, I believe. I grew up eating crabs though, we used to fish for them off the docks in the area.

San Francisco - fresh crabs and pacific salmon when they're around.
In Bodega Bay (North of SF), Oysters.
And back in the hey day, SF was known for making brand new money!!! The SF Mint is now just a musueum.
