we had this at the PF in Vegas. I didn't like PF at the time so I may have to go back and try it since they opened one up near me.

hmmm, looks almost like what we eat at home every so often.

Instead of brown sugar and soy, try Yoshida sauce instead. My wife doesn't do the cornstarch part "on" the beef; it's just there to thicken the sauce up if it get's too watery; everything else she pretty much does already.

I've eaten at PF Changs in Sunnyvale and it's nothing to really rave about. Just more expensive in my opinion. Hard to find really good authentic Chinese food around the South Bay Area.

Has anyone tried Martin Yan's restaurant? I'm hoping it's not another PF Changs. Martin actually knows how to cook some very basic and good home chinese food according to my wife; we didn't think he really knew how since he did a lot of those "Yan Can Cook" shows, but ever since he did an off-shoot show on more traditional dishes that she recognizes or has cooked herself, she has gained more respect for him.

I went to his place at McCarthy ranch in Milpitas both for lunch and dinner (which is a bit fancier setting), ran into him there a couple of times. He was even giving out autographed photos at one time...hahaha. The food was very hit and miss in my opinion. Sometimes it was decent but most of the time it wasn't that great. Service was not a hit either...
