Default Le Cordon Blue - Paris

My wife wants me to go to Paris with her for 6-12 month to attend Le Cordon Blue. She wants to get the The Patisserie Diploma. Anyone knows anything about the school and/or the program? Is it really better than any other cuisine school? What other school would you recommend?

Still at a preliminary phase; gathering info etc ...

Man that would be a sweet "trip," but truthfully (in my opinion of course), the elemental skills of cooking are likely the same at most schools regardless of location. I don't believe there's been any revolutionary methods of cooking an egg for quite some time.

That being said, don't let my thoughts discourage you. I love cooking, and I can't think of too many things that would be more fun than living in Paris for a year and going to culinary school. FCI in NYC is great too!

I agree guys. Cooking an egg in Paris can't be that much different than in NYC. Part of the reason is to be in Paris. We go there once a year and love the city.

That's really a once in a lifetime experience (and a reason to go abroad for a few months). If she's really interested, I say go for it. Just make sure you still log into L4P over there.
