    Default All Things Peanut Butter

    I love anything with peanut butter. If you have any good recipies, please share. Friends are always asking me to make this when it gets warm.

    Homemade Peanut Butter Ice Cream

    *mine is a 4 qt freezer so you could adjust

    2 C milk
    1 3/4 C sugar
    1/2 tsp salt
    2 C half and half
    1 1/2 tbsp vanilla
    4 C whipping cream
    2 heaping tbsp creamy peanut butter
    Chopped peanut butter cups(optional)

    Add milk and peanut butter to pan and scald/milk. Peanut butter should dissolve. Remove from heat. Add sugar and salt. Stir until dissolved. Stir in half and half, vanilla and whipping cream. Cover and refrigerage for 30 min. Freeze in ice cream maker as directed. You can also stir in chopped up peanut butter cups when it is done if you want to be really bad.

    2 slices white bread
    1/4 Cup Peanut Butter (smooth, however others will work depending on your preference)
    1/8 Cup Jelly (apricot / pineapple preserves)
    1 Large Glass of Ice Cold Milk. (Vit-D, none of that 1%, 2% crap, soy, non-fat, etc. Real, true, Vitamin D milk. Usually comes with a red cap on it)

    Spread peanut butter liberally on one slice of bread.
    Set aside.
    Spread jelly / preserves on other (remaining) slice of white bread.
    Lay flat on counter.
    Carefully put peanut butter side of bread down on top of jelly side of white bread, creating a sammich of peanut butter and jelly.

    Finaly assembly should look like this:

    ***White Bread***
    ------Jelly---------
    ~~Peanut Butter~~
    ***White Bread***

    Enjoy with ice cold milk. For best results, eat with jelly side up, and peanut butter side to the bottom.

    Eating instructions:
    1. Take bite of sammich, chew / enjoy.
    2. Rinse with milk.
    3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 until finished.

    Note of caution: Drink the milk proportionally with each bite of sammich so you don't run out of milk before that last gem of a bite of your sammich, which will undoubtedly require milk rinsing.

    Enjoy!

    Mile-High Peanut Butter-Brownie

    She is setting up nicely!

    I'll replace the stock photo with mine after she cools down and sets. Unfortunately I was out of choco-chips and forgot to get them at the store.

    Code:
    Ingredients
        * 1 Pillsbury® refrigerated pie crust, softened as directed on box
        * 1 box (15.5 oz) Pillsbury® Chocolate Chunk Brownie Mix
        * 1/4 cup Reese's® peanut butter chips
        * 1/3 cup Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil
        * 3 tablespoons water
        * 1 EGGLAND'S BEST egg
        * 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
        * 1/2 cup Jif® Creamy Peanut Butter
        * 1 cup powdered sugar
        * 1 container (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
        * 2 tablespoons Fisher® Party Peanuts, chopped
        * 2 tablespoons Hershey's® mini chips semi-sweet chocolate

    Directions

    Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Unroll pie crust; place in ungreased 9-inch glass pie plate as directed on box for One-Crust Filled Pie; flute edge.

    In medium bowl, stir brownie mix, peanut butter chips, oil, water and egg 50 strokes with spoon. Pour batter into crust-lined pie plate.

    Bake 30 to 40 minutes, covering edge of crust with strips of foil after 15 to 20 minutes, until crust is golden brown and center of brownie is set. Cool slightly, about 20 minutes. Refrigerate 1 hour or until completely cooled.

    In medium bowl, beat cream cheese, peanut butter and powdered sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread mixture over brownie. Sprinkle with peanuts and chocolate chips. Refrigerate 30 minutes before serving. Store covered in refrigerator.
