Default Heading to NYC looking for Cheap Eats

I will be in NYC next month interviewing for internship opportunities. I am a culinary student and I am looking for decent dining options that won't break the bank.

    Anybody have any good reccomendations?

I know there is some serious street food in NYC. I also keep hearing about the Banh Mi sandwiches. I am looking foward to trying those.
