Jameson Signature Reserve
400 Miles (round trip) to Vancouver to visit family in law, check out the Olympic City, etc. Lots of food, lack of sleep, and the only thing I came home with was Jameson Signature Reserve. You can only find this in select duty free shops across the world, and it so happens that the Peace Arch crossing Duty Free shop (that looks more like an upscale boutique than a shop) had it.
I'm a huge fan of James and son, so needless to say, when the gong from the work clock rings, i'm going to be sipping some with some ice.

I have a fond affinity for Irish Wiskey and I have never heard of that, please let us know how it compares to the normal 8, 12 and 18 year blends, and then let me know when you would like some company

Much milder than the normal 8, seems a bit sweeter. Says its aged in Sherry barrels, which might be why. It's not bad, but it's not what I would call great. It's nice to have a change, and I'm just glad that the price wasn't all that much different than the standard 1 liter bottle.
Either way, I'm stocked full of this stuff, so i'll be sure to enjoy.-MACKEY

Thanks for your impressions on the Signature. I tasted their Vintage Reserve a while ago, but couldn't justify spending north of $200 on a bottle of Jameson. I think I'll stick to regular Jameson for the time being.

IMO, that's probably a smart choice, at the very least, get a bottle of 12.
I tried their Gold Reserve for NYE, I believe it was $70 for the bottle (in WA state, probably cheaper elsewhere)...
While i found it profoundly smooth, I really didn't think it tasted THAT much better than say the 12 or 18.
This lot of Signature will keep me loaded for awhile.-MACKEY

Thirsty! Love me some Jameson. With the last name Roark, would you expect any less?
