    Default ** NYC Halal Cart - 53rd and 6th ** Pictures **

I think this cart is one of the 'undiscovered' gems in NYC. This food cart is open from 7PM until 4am, and there is usually a line about 50 deep at any given time. I've heard of people driving from CT or BOS for one night just to eat this. People of all backgrounds enjoy this food, despite its price point. Hell, I've even seen Jay-Z's Maybach roll up and his assistant get in line for this food

For $6, you get a choice of chicken or lamb meat. Every plate comes with rice, salad, and pita bread. For me, what makes the dish is the white sauce that you dress the plate with. Its a mixture of mayo, yogurt, cucumber, and other mystery ingredients. This is my favorite way to cap a night out in the city with all my other drunk companions

Everytime I go to NYC I make a special visit. Luckily this time it was only 6 blocks away from the hotel.

That "cart" is known as "Chicken and Rice." They take in over $2.5 million/year.
