Believe me, you want one of these!

You will not use anything else once you have it.

Just picked up one this weekend. Still learning how to use it, but here are my observations so far:

-Takes 10 minutes to get to operating temperature.
-Takes seconds to light with natural lump charcoal.
-Takes 10 minutes to cook a 2.5" thick steak. Probably could be a bit shorter. My steak (NY Strip) came out medium well. I like it medium rare.

Overall, I have been very happy with it. The food taste is great.

I snapped a couple of pics. I'll upload them in a few.

I have had one for a few years at the lake. Its awesome, some of the best food I have ever done came off that thing. It is built near me and everyone around here has one so if you have any questions ask away.

Tannad are you using the green egg charcoal? If not get some of it, for what ever reason its much better and last three times longer then anything else. I like to light mine with the Green Egg electric starter works like a champ!

I will try it. I bought the natural lump charcoal that is sold at the local HD. I light the charcoal with a propane torch.
