Never liked the idea of trying Game meat but I often thought about it when it came to Buffalo burgers and such. There are some benefits to it ...

I've had kangaroo in Aus and it was fine, I think we must know how to cook it better

Roo meat is great mate ,the funny thing is a few years ago it was just sold as pet meat.
But lately its being sold in restaurants over here as well....

Had it in Toulouse, France about 4 years ago. Saw "le kangourou" on the menu...my French being not so good, I asked the waiter to try and translate. He spoke very poor english, so he hopped around the table like a kangaroo, felt like I had to order it after the show.
It was cut into cubes and served in a bbq sauce over rice. Reminded me of pork, but just a little gamier. Kind of like how alligator tail kind of tastes like chicken but with just a hint of gaminess.-Mille162

Hey Darnell, what's up? Just saw this thread, was this in Atlanta? I can't imagine it being around here... I've tried just about everything over the years, used to travel far too much for work, but never had Kangaroo. Not sure I'd want to try given your reaction.

I've had snake before and it was ok.
How does the kangaroo taste like? very gamey?
