wet ribs (northern style)
salt and pepper the ribs. Put on a cookie cooling sheet and put that in a larger cookie sheet or shallow pan. Put some water or apple juice in the bottom of the pan, cover with aluminum foil. Cook at 200 deg for 4-5 hours or until the meet is pulling away from the bones.
Take out, coat in your choice of BBQ sauces if you don't want to make your own (plenty of recipes online ranging from sweet to hot and spicey, BBQ sauce is really a personal taste). Turn oven up to highest setting and broil. Place coated ribs back into oven with door ajar until sauce starts to carmelize but before it burns.
dry rub (southern style)
cut a few cloves of garlic width wise and rub over the ribs. Mix cayenne pepper, garlic powder, black pepper, kosher salt, dash of cumin and any of your other favorite spices (again, it's a personal taste, plenty of recipes online), or just buy a premixed spice pack. Place on a cookie cooling sheet on a larger cookie sheet and cover with tin foil. Keep them extra moist with some water or apple juice in the bottom of the pan. Cover loosely with tin foil, cook at 200 deg for 4-5 hours until meet is pulling away from bones. Serve as is or sear the outside a little by broiling at highest heat in oven. Serve your choice of sauces on the side.-Mille162

mix brown sugar cumin garlic powder kosher salt pepper and add montreal seasoning( i love the stuff) rub all over the ribs both sides. Add water and Madeira or Jack Daniels whiskey to the bottom of the pan to keep moist. Cook at 350 for 2.5-3 hours or until meat is almost falling off the bones. In another pan add garlic and onions brown sugar ketchup worcheshire and butter and apple cider vinegar to make a sauce to your liking and enjoy
