I only use a half packet, and leave out most of the remaining broth too.

Sometimes I'll eat it with cajun seasoning instead of the broth packet. And if I'm eating the kind in the cup, I like squeezing lemon juice into it. It's also good with a tablespoon of ground beef and some beef bullion in it instead of the broth packet. I'm fair certan the cheap powdered beef bullion has less salt than the broth packets.

I just crack it right onto the noodles and let it cook right in the bowl.
