    Default Espresso machine??

I am thinking about buying a really nice Espresso machine for my house. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm probably going to spend 2 to 3 grand.

My favorite LOOKING machine is the Miele built in:

No personal experience with it though. It is around $2500.

Not sure if you're looking for the best looking machine or one that produces the best results. For the best results the best one I've come across is the Ambiante PS or JR by Schaerer. It's more of a commercial machine but produces the best cappuccinos and espressos i've ever had. I got hooked on them from kellers places (french laundry/per se) where the foam in the cappuccinos has the most incredible consistency. For the espresso side it has two built in hoppers for beans with an internal grider so you can create your own custom blends and when used with a source of high quality water produces some damn good espresso

Their site is Schaererusa.com but you'd likely be better off picking one up from a restaurant supply shop and saving a ton.

well, I have had my Jura capresso S9 for 2 years now ... I LOVE IT. The best part about it is that EVERYTHING is automatic with very little cleaning. just press a button.. it grinds, taps, brews and disposes off the grounds. you can get it real cheap at Costco these days. it usually sells for $600 more.
