funny viper question
i really love the viper, always been a dream car of mine. i really want to buy one come this spring/summer. the rt/10 seems
like the one i'll get, i've just got one minor yet somewhat important question, how do i wash it if it has no windows?- Dave

The first gen RT-10's have zip-up vinyl plastic side curtains for washing and storage. I wouldn't recommend driving with them on though.
If at all possible, save your money and go for a second gen RT-10 Viper. The first gen is kind of rough around the edges. The second gen (1996+) RT-10's added many great refinements like actual rolling glass side windows, rear exit exhaust (side exit is cool, until your date burns her ankle getting out of the car after a spirited drive) a better engine (lighter and more power), lighter and stiffer chassis, more refined suspension tuning, and if it's a later second gen, ABS brakes. My mechanic told me "I couldn't fix your brakes... so I made your horn louder."

it should come with plastic zip offs and a soft or hard top. You could always use those while washing.

i thought the zip windows were an option on the r/t 10 and i didn't know the 2nd gen came with windows in. i did read and saw that the 2nd gen was a nice bump in performance, but truthfully the reason i want the 1st ge, despite the viper burn's, is the side exhaust.
and if i'm getting a 2nd gen i'm getting a gts- Dave

GenI came with wrangler style windows and top.
GenI has real windows and exterior door handles (choice of hard or soft top).
There are aftermarket hard tops and windows for GenI.
GenII cars exhaust can easily be converted to side exit.
If you plan on driving the car more than a second vehicle, go for a genII.
