I recorded this stunning Corvette C6 Z06 at a private trackday. It has adjustable exhaust valves which can be opened and closed for more/less sound. You may guess whether they were opened or closed in the video

You sir, are correct. . . .

Most people just pulled the fuse that controlled them which in turn left the butterflies open all the time.

I had a switch on my B&B Fusion that let me control them manually. On the highway, I would close them to reduce the drone.
