Viper wrecked in Colorado
One Man Trapped For Almost An Hour After Racing-Related Crash
A guy from one of my local forums watched this whole thing go down. This is why street racing is a bad idea. Lucky for them, no one died. The STI he was racing had those Perrin Stiffy wing stabilizers on it, so it's probably going to be pretty easy to find him.
I'm looking around for more pictures of this, but I'm having no luck finding them.E .· ` ' / ·. F

The driver of this Viper, Jeff, passed away today at the hospital. Condolences to the ones he leaves behind.

RIP, that is why people need to take it to the track, theres way to many accidents that happen on the street that can be prevented by not street racing

I'm with you on this one.
I was just out having a beer with a friend that happens to be a cop, and he said that as soon as the driver of the Viper died, they were tasked with doing anything and everything in their power to find out the driver of that 06/07 STI that was involved in the race. If or when he gets caught, they're going to make an example of him. I've noticed myself doing a double-take at every blue 06/07 I drive by, just to see if it has those Perrin Stiffy wing stabilizers. As soon as I find one, I'm passing on the license plate to local PD. When I was out earlier tonight I noticed about 3x as many cops patrolling the known street racing areas than usual.E .· ` ' / ·. F

I agree 100% with you that we shouldn't street race but fact is 95% of the people on these forums and out on the street with capable cars partake in this kind of activity. The STI driver didn't hold a gun to the Viper drivers head to make him race so responsibility should be on him. Doesn't make it right for him to leave the scene but the Viper driver knew the consequences before he got into the gas. Just my thoughts.
RIP to the Viper Driver

RIP to the driver, sad situation to hear about. He was obviously aware of the possible consequences which just showed his passion for racing, Im sure he will be missed.
