Default C7 Corvette: Preferences and Predictions?

What is everyone hoping to see in the C7 Corvette? Personally I see the C6 body style as a hard act to follow. I am hoping GM does not opt for an over-the-top design such as the Stingray concept that has been circulating ever since the Transformers movie. Think it will retain its front mounted V8, rear-drive platform?

All in all if the C7 ends up looking like this ...

If the Corvette turns into that, I'm buying a 911 from here on out.

I cant imagine that chevy would not listen to its owners. I have not read many people liking it. Its almost like they did it just for that robot movie...

I sure hope so. That's exactly what that design should remain as..... a fictional robot.
