Thread: ACR Beat Down GT3

I'd like to see what the ACR or X could do in low downforce trim (sans rear wing) at a fast track like Road America, driven by someone with skills and track knowledge. Lap time and top speed would be serious!

I dont really understand why the GT3 Pro Driver got embarrassed? They are not racing, just lapping. GT3 driver certainly doesnt seem pushing it whatsoever - i think the fact that the passenger is holding a camera failry steadily should be the giveaway.

Yes, the ACR is a beast...

but, the GT3 wasn't even pushing at all. Go to youtube and search some "real" cup car driver driving...you will see the difference.

If a Toyota Camry passes an ACR while the ACR is lapping at a track, would you say the ACR got embarrassed?? This thread proves nothing...

We dont know anything about the tier setups.

I'm not a fan of comparing figures but in this case its a 8.4l 600 HP 740 NM V10 vs. a 3.6l 415 HP 400 NM flat six.

Third:
The GT3 driver, pro or not, even though I cant see any advanced driving skill in that video, wasnt even trying.

Who ever is surprised by the viper being faster should refresh his knowlage a bit.

no offense to anyone here, but I agree with above.

these two cars are comparable, at least as far as market segment and price goes; the acr is definitely positioned to be a competitor. of course it's not an embarrassing video, but then again, 600 hp does count for something

so i guess by your metaphor the viper is a 1000hp bike and the gt3 is a 190hp civic? i think that is a bit much.

the viper is faster because it is a faster car. every class has a vehicle that shines on the track and one that shines on the street.

I dont need to say anything more. but the only place a Viper is slow is when it is parked at 0mph Viper ACR sets the pace in this world, and on well known tracks. Just "Google" it!

I will keep light on this note. The people saying 600Hp was the answer why ACR whipped the GT3? You are not looking at the video. The video does not lie. Did you see the way the ACR was hitting those turns!!!!!!! Just sick!!!!!

There is more than just 600Hp and driver going on in the ACR.
