Personally I think it should be, bring what you can build. If P can make a 3.8 911 to be faster than a 8.3 litre Viper, sweet. It will keep everyone on their toes to be the best.

This ACR-X surprised a lot of people this weekend at Sebring including myself. For reference, the fastest Comp Coupe lap time in the Speed World Challenge race at Sebring last year was in the 2.10 to 2.11 range. This weekend at the PBOC Winterfest event, Kuno Wittmer ran a 2.08.692 at Sebring in an ACR-X with Michelin slicks. Now I know that there are horsepower restrictions on the Comp Coupes but this seems pretty incredible to me. On Friday the car outqualified all the Porshe Cup cars present as well as the Comp Coupes and a Speed World Challenge Corvette. You have to give credit to Dodge for selling this car at $110,000.

I agree that is moving, but those SWC cars are so regulated it's hard to make a comparison. The SCCA Vipers (iirc) are restricted to a 275/35/18 front tires.

Was the sebring car on the "spec" 295's and running 19" rear wheels?

Or are these publicity cars rolling in typical viper fashion, 18x13 all around with 335-18's?

I'm also a bit confused as to why the X is coming with 19" rear wheels, other than they are off the shelf viper parts. Considering it has the parking brake delete you can put an 18 on the back, and the change in slip angle alone would make the car that much better.

Something about a viper slammed on 18's makes *it* move.

The car had the stock black ACR wheels with the 19's in the rear. Not sure of Michelin slick tire sizes although that would be interesting.

The offset stripe is done for a reason, it's a "racing spec" to show what side of the car the driver is on.
