But be sure to start with good pads first.

I boiled my fluid @ Daytona, luckily I was just able to go through the course Nascar style and come into the pits. Kinda scary going 170+ hitting the brakes and your foot goes to the floor and nothing happens. Needless to say that ain't gonna happen again.

Right now I'm contemplating a Viper purchase actually. Not sure if I want to try a few other toys before parking one in my garage.
I haven't been in a Gen IV but I hear they are very good. I never understood where all the feelings of the 90's cars being sketchy came from? IMO the car is MUCH more stable at 100+ than even 65. Spend the time to get it corner weighted and work on the alignment and they are dead nuts stable. If you can't drive it comfortably at 170 with one hand on the wheel, it isn't aligned properly.

If you run a dedicated track alignment with gross amounts of positive rear toe-out (pmum setup) the car can get twitchy at speed but it will turn in like you wouldn't believe.

A properly setup GTS on R-compound street tires will corner so hard even experienced drivers have a hard time pushing it to the limits. You mind just doesn't want to believe the car is going to actually respond when you turn the wheel.

A square mile of tire footprint pwns.
