We have the technology to make the Veyron whisper quiet. But where's the fun in that?
Me wondering if a mod increases horsepower does not make me ignorant. Not sure where you got the impression that I don't know what a ZR1 is or how well it performs. I am surprised by your level of defensiveness.

To clear things up, my car is very loud. I don't disagree with anything you have said and was simply asking if it increased performance...or just made it louder.

Oh, so the backhanded "fart pipe on a honda" comment wasn't meant to be insulting?

The stock exhaust has butterflies in each muffler right at the exit. Opening the butterflies makes the mufflers straight through. The power gain is negligible. However, the "mod" is literally just pulling a fuse. It gives you louder exhaust between idle and 3000rpm. If you want full control over it while driving, there's a 100 dollar controller. From the factory, the valves open between 3000-4000rpm anyways, depending on how much throttle you use. Below that, the car is as quiet as a Tahoe.

Sorry the Honda reference offended you. Since you are insulted, I assume one of these cars is yours? Or are you just insulted in the name of all fuse pullers everywhere? Regardless, I do regret that my comment was considered to be d*ckish by anyone.

I know how this works. I don't know why you keep thinking I am confused about something. I know the factory will do things to make a car quieter at the expense of HP, so I wondered if this was one of those things. That is all.

    Default exhaust sound

I have a 2010 ZR! and installed the mild to wild system. Only took about 15 minutes and I can control the sound with a small keychange type remote control. Works great
