    Post Green Block Contruction

    Hello L4P members!

I am in architcural class right now, and I recently came across a new style of foundation I havent heard of before.

The project i have wrote up, is a nice set up for a 4 bed room 3 and a half bath home, but i was given a multiple choice question on the choice of foundation.
    The choices given were:

    Styrofoam
    Brick
    Cement Block/Solid construct
    Green Block

I select green block for foundation, its heavy material, first made of nile sand and lime rock, and coated with foam. keeps heat out and cold in during summer, and cold out and heat in during winter, doesnt break away and keeps rodents out. The thing is, it takes minimal insulation, and take specailly insulated wondows and doors for the frame.

Has anybody used green block? does anybody live in a home with green block? I did do some research on it, but cant find many details or pictures.

    opinions?
    thanks!

    Colby

the green block that I know of is a foam shell that you pour concrete into. sounds like you're talking about something different. do you have a link?

I used a ICFs on my house and love the results. don't remember the brand name though.

need to update my Revit library if it's something I don't have
