Thread: My Home Renovation

Extra support. We wanted as solid of a floor as possible (no bounce) to avoid tile and grout cracking over time. You either have to glue and screw, or mortar and screw. we opted to to mortar and screw since our house is so old.

Started installing the crown molding this weekend, and caulking/puttying the edges.

The washer/dryer nook in the bathroom.


Sorry for the shitty pictures, my cell phone doesn't take the best low-light pictures. Once it's totally done, I'll bring my camera home and get some better ones.

At the speed they do that work, I don't know how anything dries properly I can only imagine.... I would probably end up having a panic attack

i love remodeling threads. It makes me think i'm in the wrong profession, but i know i'll get my chance when i save enough. Our first house was a foreclosure purchased about 3 years ago and it's almost 100 yrs old now, so it needs quite a bit of work. I paid 1/3rd of what all my neigbors paid for their homes
