    wood sucks, concrete alone is very costly. ICF (insulated concrete forms) reign supreme. You get all the benefits of concrete with the core, and quicker than wood construction times. not to mention the huge savings on heating/cooling due to the insulation. Up here wood is 100$/sqft concrete is 200$/sqft. ICF used to be 10-15% higher than wood, but now is coming in on par with wood or within 5-7%. But when you calculate the time savings on labour it breaks even often.

    Also you can build 20-30 stories with it if you like.
