This was on Friday, so it wasn't even the weekend yet. We were walking out of the hotel he was also staying at, so its not like I was a bum on the street either. I understand it may have been exhausting, but try being at the track the entire weekend and dealing with that whole thing.

Im sure these people get annoyed when others pull out their camera right away, but when a professional driver (who was also a pole sitter at Laguna Seca this weekend) and his son walks up to you to chat, show a little respect.
It's always nice for people to show respect, absolutely. But for future reference, how should someone know whether the person approaching them is a professional driver and pole-sitter? Perhaps heritage-inspired Ferrari swag will help designate the individual?

    LOL on the Ferrari swag....
I said that because you never know who is approaching you (as you said earlier) and I dont think it would have hurt to take a minute out of an all-so-busy day to chat. At least come up with an excuse not to talk, but dont be a stiff and shut the door right away. You get my drift.

If I may, so kindly make one last observation.

Don't take this too seriously, but it seems that your ego is quite fragile. In the scheme of things, getting blown off by someone you don't know on the street and maybe have seen on-line is going to provide you with far more headaches than you should have to deal with.
Most people when they see someone jump on-line to whine about not getting to talk to a stranger usually just say, "Well, so what?" Life is short, move on and try not too make the mistakes others do and you'll be fine.

No biggie...my ego is not fragile, nor is it hurt, but I thought this "family" would at least be cool to one another! Carry on.

There should be t-shirts made that say "I'm an L4P member... don't hate on me" so it helps weed out the "bums."
