The Cigar Aficionado from September/October 2011 with the Saturday Night Live cover had an excellent article about determining if a Cohiba was legitimate.

REALLY not that hard to tell. They are all fake. Save your money. Here are the problems:
Photo 2: it appears to be the Cohiba Genios Maduro 5 but they ONLY come in boxes of 10 and 25. This box has 13.
Photo 5: it appears to be the Cohiba Lancero but it doesn't come in such box. Only in dress box of 25.
Photo 4: The Montecriso No.4 look "ok" but why take a chance when the other ones are 100% fake.

man, i just got duped on some Monte No. 4's too... was down in cancun, found a store with decent (normal) price on the Behike 52 and another Cohiba, and they were both real. Grabbed two Monte #4's as they're my go-to but now that im home, I just tossed it in the humidor with the other Monte No. 4's and boom... huge color difference. Looked at the label and yep. no embossing, print was slightly off too. FML. Glad I only got 2 of them.

None of those look authentic. The small cohiba's look like siglo I's or something. Lanceros come in a different varnished box, not in that slide lid. The flag for me in the pic of the monte 4's is the tax stamp just sitting loose on top of the sticks. I personally have never seen a tax stamp not affixed when purchasing a box. It's either on the dress box, or on the cardboard outer of varnished boxes. Something just doesn't sit right with me on the Genios box. Is the sticker under the lid supposed to be that small?
EDIT: looks like you already got your answer by smoking one. oops.
