Looking to try a cigar for the first time
I've never smoked in my life. Maybe had a single cigarette in highschool.
I'm looking to try a nice cigar, but my friend is telling me not to get something really nice for my first time or everything after that wont compare. What do you guys recommend for my first time? I dont really think I need to go big and buy a humidor and all that, I just want one to try it out, and if I like it I'll go from there.2010 Camaro 2SS

Hoyo de Monterey Epicure no2 is a perfect cigar to start with in my opinion
or a Partagas Short,
Juan Lopez selection no 1
Romeo y Julietta no 2
if you can't find cubans in your area go for
- La Aroma del Caribe EE (that cigar amazed me for its price)
- CAO la traviataonly dead fish swim with the stream

I gotta admit, I had literally never smoked one thing in my entire life, not even a puff of anything. For my 26th bday a couple of months ago my younger brother wanted me to try a cigar (obviously in my avatar it worked lol). That first time I really wasn't impressed. I didn't see the benefit or the appeal.
But...4th of July he had a cigar with him and it was just the two of us and two girls, sitting on the edge of the lake watching the fireworks, we'd already had a few drinks and were passing the cigar around. What an awesome experience, it definitely magnified everything and I'd do it again for sure.
That being said, I can't help you at all in terms of what to try haha, just saying if you don't like it the first time, maybe give it another chance.

5 Vegas gold. Smooth but good flavor and won't break the bank. For your first avoid overly large ring gauges. I'd keep it 52 and under.

I would start out with a mild to medium bodied cigar...best to start out slow and smooth. Try Rocky Patel Connecticut, 5 Vegas Gold, Baccarat (for mild) or Arturo Fuente or Rocky Patel Vintage 2nds...
+3 on the Perdomo Champagne

you'd enjoy a Padron, maybe a 6000 series, something on the Natural side, the maduro might be a bit strong for a first time...and they are really well priced.
