Default FREE PASS Humidor help/opinion thread

Alright everyone, now that I am back home from school I am back to smoking 3 to 5 sticks a week so I have decided to invest in a humidor so I can buy more in bulk as well as a box or two of my favorite smokes to have on hand.

This is your OPEN INVITATION to suggest your opinion/reccomendation/whatever you feel like saying in terms of what you like or has worked for you. Links to specific boxes or packages are more than wlecome as I am starting from scratch and want to do it right. I've looked at cheaphumidors.com a bit but still would love some expert opinions.

So lets hear it guys, help me start out right in taking the next step in enjoying a good smoke!!

    1) you get what you pay for
    2) 95% of the humidors sold online are cheap made in China crap
    3) 99% of the humidifiers used in humidors sold online and anywhere else is a sponge in a box (known as a passive humidifier); resulting in moist and dry cigars and requiring cigars rotation
    4) invest in a quality humidor, many of them are made in the USA
    5) invest in an active humidification system
    6) if none of these work, buy a good tupperware or cooler and turn it to a humidor (100 x better than the cheap made in China humidors)

    just get a marine cooler.

you will never have to upgrade, and with some kitty litter, it will hold at 70 with no work
