    I think they are perfectly fine. It really depends on where the source of humidity is. Anything particular in mind?

    Default Air flow in a Desk top Humidor

    I thought this might be of interest......

    Here's the Humidor:

    The controller was mounted externally with the sensor mounted inside the humidor:





    As a practical matter, with the humidifier placed on the underside of the lid, having 'interchangeable lift out trays' fill the entire base [rather than merely one on top] rotating the positions of the trays on a regular/periodic basis works, and is my usual design.

    Zach,

    I asked about the difference between Spanish Cedar and Mahogany. Without getting in the details and if I remember everything right: from a botanical point of view, both are from the same family. Spanish cedar is a kind of Mahogany that is aromatic while Mahogany is not aromatic. Both can be used in the same humidor as they each have different properties.
