Some of these responses are putting into words exactly what i was struggling to do.

Pretty damn good post...and even more so for such a young guy. 2-3 times a week, I will go out to my patio and have a cigar (Padron 64 and 26 my favs so far). My wife comes out about 50% of the time with a glass of wine and we just chill. She loves the smell of a good cigar. I love the relaxation mode it puts me in immediately. After a stressful day at the office, nothing makes me feel more relaxed than a great cigar. I probably smoke a cigar all by myself 50% of the time (save for the times I'm in public with one).

For me being 19, I started because I love the smell and texture. I love how cigars are made and taken care of. The whole process of making it to keeping it humidifed is outstanding. I was never a cigarette smoker and will never be because they are disgusting. But ya I still have trouble smoking in public do to my age as others look at me younger and stupid like all other people my age.
Great thread. I love all the different insights.
