Dont get me wrong. They are great cigars. But in reality I have not bought many recent production cigars recently. Once the new humidor comes in I will probably start buying again. There are so many things that I need to get. But every time I am about to order something an aged buy comes up

I have had so many plugged Cubans its ridiculous especially from the Montecristo open series, yet I have had a poorly constructed Cohiba. IMO I think Honduras/Nicaragua make the best Maduros, but nothing beats the Hay/Creaminess of a Cohiba. It all depends what I feel like smoking that day. In conclusion I wish I had better access to Cuban Cigars.

Indeed. Genuine Romeo y Julieta or Cohibas will always have that unique flavor that betrays their origins. Cuban tobacco, when combined with the expertise of the industry down there, will always have an edge over its Dominican competitors. I understand the OP's concerns about inconsistency, but when it comes to QUALITY, the consistency is undeniable.
