Default Anybody had a god of fire?

Anybody had a god of fire?
Ive got a guy who wants to sell me the 5th aniversary set (4 cigars from 2006) with the prometheus "Y" cutter at a decent price but as i havent had em before i dunno if it would even be worth it? whats the flavor profile like and what can it be compared to? I have read reviews about the cigars and im getting everything from leathery to woody to sweet. is really that complex of a smoke.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I order 5 of them a couple years ago and did not think they were anywhere near worth the price. I thought they were mediocre at best. I did not get sweet at all. They were very spicy and I thought boring. But with that said, if you are getting cigars from 2006, they might be a lot better with the age on them. I like Opus a lot, but generally only after they have been laid down for a little while. The God of Fire could be the same way and it just needs a little aging.

Well, they have been my go to cigar for a few years. They are the ones that really got me into cigar smoking. I'm a huge Fuente fan and have enjoyed most of their cigars. The GOF, Don Carlos (anniversary edition), Opus X and Lost City are all great, IMO.

I have had some duds, but overall, the consistency of their cigars has been excellent.

Everyone has his/her own taste pallet and I would suggest buying a single stick and checking it out before going for the package set.

    Good luck!

I really like them. Have some friends who look down on them, and say they are over priced. Have enjoyed everyone. My current stash:

hmmm.... maybe i will pick up the 4 pack then. I just want to make sure here, the 4 pack (like this one Samplers ) for 75 is a pretty fair price right?

This will by one of my first steps into the"upper echelon" of cigars so i dont want to have a bad experience with it so help is appreciated.
