I was pretty much using the cigar guy as an example. And yes, I realize it wasn’t a perfect example. Shame on me. In all honesty I think the guy got lip cancer from chew and throat cancer from smoking cigarettes. But Hovy, if you honestly believe that putting a tasty, aged, fermented, tobacco leaf on a person’s lips will never have an ill effect on anyone, then I’ve got some Cubans to sell you(That’s a joke of course). Sure, doing so is not as bad as smoking cigarettes. I would agree with that. But you have to agree that different things may affect everyone differently. As an example, I work with a guy that used to work around asbestos all day. He never got sick, but some of his co-workers are dead or are sick from it. Everything affects people differently.

And maybe the reason someone wants a cigar holder is because his wife wants him to use one. Maybe it will help him sleep better at night. Who knows? But I’m certainly not the type of individual to prematurely judge someone without knowing the facts. And why do you care so much? You sound like a Cigar Nazi. Smoke az z Fuhrer smokes or vee vill come for u. Sheesh. Lighten up man.

To me, it comes down to a choice. I do 60 MPH on my Waverunner because it’s fun. I don’t ride motorcycles when it’s snowing because I don’t think that’s fun. Some people smoke 5 cigars a day because they like it. Everyone’s different. As long as you’re honest with yourself about the outcomes of your choices and not like the nutjob who sues MacDonalds for her coffee being hot, I’ve got no problem with that no matter how big or small the risk.

Although I am not sure how you passed from cigars to McDonalds to motorcycles, I agree that one thing could affect different people in different ways.

Whatever I said, I said in due respect. I didn't mean to offend anyone. Apologies if I did.

All is well, let's light a cigar (holder or not) and forget about this!

Well said, to each his own. Just a little friendly banter from time to time is good for the soul. Smoke up!
