The red eye is my favorite of all the infused cigars.

tonight calls for a padron 1926 serie. I was going to have it last night but it got a little chilly and I lost the urge to have a smoke.

Not really cigar related but a belated birthday gift for a friend:

I figured most of you would appreciate it like you appreciate a good cigar.

RyJ makes a great premium cigar. I'm not sure which one you had since Robusto is just a size, but regardless you had at the minimum a good cigar. You will find that most of the cigar smokers here and on other forums lean towards Padrons, Fuentes, Liga Privada, and other fuller-bodied offerings. Until you relearn your palate you will be best served by smoking as many different cigars as possible to better define your tastes. After that you can narrow down your preferences. Until then, try the above named in addition to Perdomo, My Father, Oliva, Alec Bradley, Rocky Patel, San Cristobal, Ortega and San Lotano...to name a few. Stay away from anything you can buy at a gas station.

Thanks Jim , I will try and find some of those you mentioned and give them a try . I was actually looking for the Padron as i saw that name show up a lot but the place i went to had a very limited selection to chose from . And that place was quite far from me , I did a search online for a place near me and it only came up with corner store type places except for the place I went to . I guess I need to go even further !

I would send you a few to try, but my Canada shipments always end up having issues in customs. If you look some more and come up dry let me know. Try a Padron 2000 or 3000 first...get one natural and one maduro wrapper to try. If you're feeling like spending a few extra bucks get a 1964 Exclusivo, then a 1926 No 2, then an 80 or 85 years, then a 45 or 46 years
