Plume is always a good thing. As AMG said, it's due to the oils from the leaf being secreted and reaching the surface as time goes on. More often I see plume on oily, maduro or oscuro wrappers. Unfortunately, every stick will age differently and there isn't a good way to predict how or when plume will occur.

My first EPC short run, and won't be my last. If you like Oliva V's, you'll love these. I found the profile very similiar- spicy kick to start that mellows out around 2/3 of the way in to a very delightful combination of sweet tobacco, and mild pepper that has a long dry finish.

Gotta say... the Romeo y Julieta's are just my kick lately.

Went out to "clean the garage" and the wifey caught me in a lie (was just an excuse to look at forums and enjoy my cigar) - snapped this pic without me noticing, lol.

Padrón 80 year maduro. Delicious.

Hot, steamy, golf this morning...so sticky, didn't light one up.
After a dip in the pool, a '00 Partagas Lusitania went down well.

Padron's cigars are top notch, and hard to beat.

Like those too, and EPC short run over Oliva Vs all day. Especially the last few years. Oliva Vs aren't what they used to be.
