I've had my Palio since 2007 and have had no faults whatsoever with it. The cigar shop I bought it from had their Palio community cutter for 10 years until someone broke it. Solid buy.

Too much age can be a bad thing, as proved by this RP 1992. I bought it from a B&M in Chicago that had it since 2009. It lost most of it's flavor and was nothing but really creamy, smooth smoke the whole way through the stick. A bit too one dimensional and bland for my tastes, but oh well. Got to try out the Palio, and it's a pretty significant difference between using the little 10 dollar stainless jobbie that I had before- definitely happy about that purchase.

Tried out the Liga Privada T52 tonight with the boys, I honestly did not like it much. It was very heavy, but boy did it smoke like a mofo!!
My fav cigar is still the Oliva Serie V, it was fantastic!!

Also, what are your opinions on cigar punchers??? Why is it that no one ever recommends these over a cutter?

The T52's are heavy and spicy, definitely agree on that one. The V's are great too, if you can find the lmited-edition Maduro V's, you're in for a real treat. Have you tried the My Father Le Bijou? I find them to be similar to the V's. Another good one to try is the La Flor Dominicana (LFD) Air bender. Both of them are full-bodied; both flavor and nicotine-wise, so don't smoke them on an empty stomach.

I have a punch that I use from time to time; but I go with a standard guillotine/straight cut most of the time because I prefer a more open draw.

punch cut never gives me enough draw

i alternate between V cut and a slightly angled guillotine cut

I'm also using Palio. One of the best cutters on the market.
