Humidor advice
I realize there is a humidor thread or two here already, including one on the first page, but im looking for something so vastly different that i dont really feel it helped me at all.
I am a 1-2 cigar a week smoker in the summer, and only occasionally when it isnt so nice out in the winter. I am in the market for a humidor that is both pleasant to display but also a quality protectant for my sticks. I currently own a small humidor that came with some montecristo's i bought when i was about 22, and am looking to move up in the world.
I rarely have more than a hundred or so cigars on hand, so im lokoing for seomthing in the 150 capacity or less range, nothing that looks like an end table, something to sit on my desk as a borderline display piece.
I am flexible with price, i often have a 1000 bucks in cigars on hand, so spending half that on a humidor to protect them isnt outrageous to me, but that would be my limit, 500 bucks or so.
Pics of yours that fit this bill would also be great.
Thanks

If I were you I would just hit up the local shops in your area. In my opinion the best way to pick out a new Humi is to feel, touch, open, and ask questions to a live person that deals with them. You can tell quality a lot better in person then on a computer screen.
Just my opinion!Jason

I would say take a look at those Humidor threads - you never know what you learn.
This thread has quite a few options and websites you could check out -

I was a big cigar shop not too long ago. They had Davidoff, Zino, Dunhill and some others. The sales person stated that Davidoff/Zino are the best as they only required a 1 time/month distilled water versus 2-3 times with Dunhill. Moreover, Davidoff/Zino holds humidity better.
Was going to get a Zino but didn't like the exterior look/finish vs the Dunhill.
Still looking for one. Will be in NYC soon and will check the Davidoff store.
