    Default My First Padron

    Hey all,

After all the talk I heard about Padron, ChaseMe and I went and got ourselves 2 sticks of Padron 3000. At first, it was weird and strangely bitter and tasted like wood, I realized what had happened was that when ChaseMe and I had lit our sticks we lit too harshly and so the cedar sticks left an impression. A trick I was taught when first learning about cigars is to blow out a little bit and it should help lessen the harshness of any burns. It helped DRAMATICALLY. I felt the cigar was a bit tainted in flavor due to the burning incident, but it was very pleasant the rest of the way, smoked it practically till I couldn't smoke it any further.

Flavor notes I noticed were hints of nuttiness. Great medium bodied, I would almost categorize it in full, but medium is where I would officially place it. Great draw, smooth, just enough resistance. Will have to try the 7000 for sure along with the anniversary one.

Guys, wait until you try the 1964! Hands down the best cigar I've ever had! I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

This is absolutely correct -- with two exceptions: I like the 45th anniversary the best of all, followed by the 80th anniversary. I have not had any of the other anniversary cigars.

I have also had several of the 1926's, and they are also very good, but for my money the 1964's are the go-to cigars.

I picked up a couple 64s. A natural and a maduro. We will be enjoying those soon.
