I've never heard of this brand before but that doesn't mean anything. It looks great and the read explains a lot in detail on it's build. But to judge it for quality I would want to see it up close and feel it.

My Humidor that I picked out was in a Cigar Store and I could pick it up and feel for myself the quality of its build. If I were you I would check out your local shops and shop around. This could be a great product but you never know.

Looks very nice. Dont judge the quality (edit: maybe not a good word, rather ability as a humidor) solely on price. I have two humidors: 1 valued at $300 the other at $1600. The $300 hold its humidity much better than than the $1600 and it even has glass on the lid. Just be sure to calibrate the hygrometer or buy a good one to keep in the humidor - just to be certain you are maintaining proper humidity. I use Boveda packets, have them on autoship and its a great reminder to switch them out.

    Good luck with your purchase!

I will swing by cigar shops when I return to Montreal. There are couple big ones and I am sure I'll find something there.

Didn't know there was a cigar shop in Les Cours, thanks. I'll try that and Vasco on St-Catherine.

    Default E-Lighters.com is a joke

I would NOT order from e-lighters if I were you. I had a terrible time with them. I even had to report the issue to the BBB, who unfortunately didn't care. I assume it’s due to some level of payoff going on.

Just to give you a run down about what an awful person Mr. Patel(Owner of E-Lighters.com) is, I ordered 3 Hygrometers and a humidor from Mr. Patel. The receipt I received stated that all items were ordered and would be shipped within a few days. After about a week, I checked up on my order on-line and found that the hygrometers were on backorder but had been filled. It would have been nice of Mr. Patel to inform me of the backorder issue when I was giving him my money, but unfortunately it appears that he only cares about your money and not good customer service. So I e-mailed Mr. Patel about the status of my order and received no response. I thought to myself, well sometimes the mail takes a little longer to get here, and maybe because of the backorder it will be here soon. After another week I found on his web site that he would answer e-mails within 3 to 4 hours so I again e-mailed Mr. Patel. No response. So, the next night, I contacted the BBB and filed an on-line complaint with them. The next morning the BBB logged my complaint and sent the information to Mr. Patel. Within hours of the BBB contacting Mr. Patel I received and e-mail from Mr. Patel apologizing for the delay in my order and he would be personally shipping out the order that day. AND because of the delay, he would be adding a few freebies to the order for my inconvenience. So, once again, like the gullible person I am, I told myself that even though the order was delayed, Mr. Patel knows he screwed up and things happen. So I decided to wait. A few days later the BBB sent me an e-mail asking me to close out the complaint if the result was to my satisfaction. I logged on to my complaint and found that within minutes of sending me the apologetic e-mail that Mr. Patel had written the BBB and told them that I was already informed that his business would be moving the warehouse and that he was waiting to hear from me on whether or not to ship out the order. So, I filled out the BBBs form for my response complaining about giving an “A” rating to someone who obviously lacks moral fiber and that’s the last I heard about it. Doubt very seriously that I will hear anything more about this issue. And although this case blows, it’s not the end of the world. What really blows is that I was in the market for a used Rolex and was going to purchase one from Grays and Sons in S FL because the BBB gave them an “A+” rating. But why would I do that now, when the BBB didn’t even post my compliant? In my opinion, the BBB is a scam. Businesses pay the BBB to give them a good rating so that the average Joe will feel comfortable about buying from them. Kind of like protection the Mob gives you.

Of course it’s just my opinion not to order from them, and you can order from whoever you want.

Oh yeah, and may the fleas of 1000 camels infest Mr. Patel’s crotch!

^ Thanks for sharing your experience with e-lighter. I am not going to order an humidor online. I went to few cigars shop to see them in person and will be going to NYC in the upcoming week again to check the Davidoff/Zino store. I'll know then.

ps: didn't know about this corrupt BBB either
