    Default The dreaded "wife" test

How do you're wives/husbands/significant others feel about your cigar smoking?

Have you come against opposition? If so, what did you do to overcome it?

Since I asked, I'll start. My wife gave me the ok, but recanted. The agreement was (at least so I thought) no smoking in the house, around anyone to include her or the baby (obviously goes without saying) and no smoking in the car/truck. I'll contribute it to post postpartum pregnancy brain, but she doesn't recall having this conversation and only recalls me saying I'll have just one to celebrate.

10 sticks later, here I stand confused as ever. I won't discuss how I plan to overcome this though. If its in writing its tougher to deny.

    Anyone else care to share?

One way is find a good Cigar Lounge and hit that at lunch time. I have one close to my office, I pay a yearly fee for a locker in their humidor. Works out nice.

the other way and the best is just keep her drunk all the time, works for Allyson, after a few drinks, I'll look around and she is smoking my cigars.

Take care of your family....Then make time for yourself. In that time for yourself, make time for a cigar.

My girlfriend enjoys the smell, so no problems here. She previously smoked cigarettes, so maybe that has something to do with it though?

    Both of you rock!

The girls I date tend to like cigars and it's something we enjoy sharing.

Tell her this: cigars bring a level of male bonding, camaraderie and relaxation that can usually only be found in the arms of a hooker at a gang bang.

So sweetie, the choice is yours: either I puff occasionally or I start banging hookers with my buddies. Let me know what you decide.

No wonder why I'm divorced, right?

I would approach in a "Sweetie, I love you very much. I don't smoke around you or our child so deal with it."
