Don't buy into the Hype! Now a days they just wave a Cuban Leaf over the Dominican Cigars and call them Cubans. Give me a good Dominican or Nicaraguan any day.

OK I was busy earlier so I couldn't explain my reason for saying that so here... The problem with Cuban tobacco is based on a couple of reasons, 1. Resources 2. Money 3. Knowledge 4. Government... 1 & 2 could be combined simply due to the fact that the tobacco farmers do not have the finances for fertilizers, irrigation, equipment, etc. to produce good tobacco. 3 & 4 could fall into the same category as well because the Cuban government has a HUGE impact on the personnel who are in fact running the farms. For instance they will send some one to run the farms whom has no idea what they are doing due to the fact that they have no prior experience in growing tobacco. In Cuba if you are a farmer you can produce any kind of agriculture, common sense tells us this is false! You cannot expect some one to grow good tobacco if all there knowledge is in producing corn, coffee, rice, cacao etc.. Cuba does have the perfect combination of soil, climate & weather to produce great tobacco. In fact many manufactures, including ourselves, are planning to establish factories in order to grow and cultivate tobacco in Cuba once the embargo is lifted. But unfortunately until then the tobacco industry in Cuba will remain the same.
