It's actually one of the easiest tickets to fight. I fought it and won.
Definitely do trial by declaration. If the citing officer on the ground did not see you speed, the officer in the plane must prove that he kept his eyes on your car until you came to a complete stop.
In CA the ticket has a box that the officer checks if he did not see you speed.
And most of the time both officers wont write their defense. If both officers do not reply to your trial by declaration it is dismissed.2010 Nissan GT-R Pearl White/Black

^This right here, pretty much that way in all states.
Also the officer does not have to show you the reading. But if he refuses to then you can use it as part of your defense, especially if you pull the guns record and it is out of calibration. Or if the officer was sitting in his car with the windows up that can get it thrown out also. With the windows up the tint on the windows and difference in air density in and outside the car can affect the reading enough for it to be outside the acceptable variance boundaries. (This only affects laser guns as far as I know)Last edited by RyanK; 06-03-2011 at 12:54 AM.

what a useless way of spending tax money, i can't imagine how much it costs to run an airplane just to get speeders.

It's actually not much, several municipalities share air support and share the proceeds of the fines. I know of many who make use of confiscated air planes/helicopters.
