Default *Attn Installers: Stealth Pathfinder install?

I know this isn't quite the "exotic" of the group but I have a 2008 Pathfinder SE, and I want to upgrade the horrendous bass-line Bose system. I don't mind the mids and highs it's got, but I would like a bit more thump than the dual sub it has in the sidewall in the rear.

I was curious if any installer (or otherwise) has done this type of install with a Pathfinder? I dont want to give up space, as that's the whole reason I got the Pathy. I saw the JL shallow subs and they look awesome - might be a good fit here. Any thoughts? Any pics of an install in a pathy?

    Thanks L4Pers!

I LOVE that option, and I wanted to go with that originally. Then I saw this: "Will not fit models equipped with rear A/C and rear A/C controls."

That really sucks. My truck is fully loaded minus the Nav system. So I was thinking about ripping out the crappy bose subs and replacing with something custom (if I have to go that route). I just need some nice, tight bass. I dont need windows to shatter, but I can't stand the girly 'poot' that the bose system provides... lol.

I appreciate the offer. If I'm out that way, I'll definitely keep you guys in mind. I've taken apart the back, and there doesnt appear to be much room. I'm thinking about removing the bose subs/plastic box, and replacing with MDF + free-air woofer. From the diagrams I've seen, the amp is on the other side. If so, I'll have to do some nice finagling to ensure a proper install. Thoughts? Recommendation for a free-air sub? I'm a fan of JL, by far.

no worries anytime. jl stop making free air woofers a long time ago. plus if you do free air is is very tricky to get it right if you don't know what to do. not as simple as mounting a piece of wood and then the sub i wish! if your gonna go that route better to just put a shallow mount sub in a box so it doesn't take up to much room. you could do a downfire box with a shallow mount that way you can put stuff on top of the box and not worry about killing the sub. just a thought

So I opted for a single JL 10" sub, MTX amp, and I'm going to hit the project myself. It's been a few years since I did my installs on the TT and 350, so this should be fun :] Thanks for the tips guys.
