    Default Sound system question

Alright, I'm a COMPLETE newbie when it comes to sound systems, so bear with me. I've recently acquired two MTX Thunder 6000 subwoofers. I want to put them in my Escalade but don't know what else I need...

All I have right now is the stock Bose system. What do I need in terms of an amp, headunit, etc? I'm not looking to build the craziest system - just a nice step up that won't blow anything.

get ya a good AMP Memphis makes a hella good amp but there are plenty of others to pick from. You need the right wires to AV cables and power cable, what ever size amp you go with will determine the gauge of your power cable. For head unit, I'm guessing your gonna want something with a sreen, Pioneer is really hard to beat but there are plenty of different ones as well. I would check out millionbuy.com or crutchfield.com. If your not wanting to do it your sellf then I would say go to a car audio place and let them hook you up, you will pay a lil bit but it will be done right ad if something meses up they should fix it for you. If you have any other questions just ask, and it's pretty easy to hook up a basic system.

what year Escalade is it? replacing the head unit in some year Escalades equipped with the Blows system can be a huge PITA.
if you want to keep it easy, you can hook up any amp with the stock head unit. some amps have separate sub control knobs to adjust the woofer itself and not adjusting the bass in the stock radio (which isnt the right way to do it).

what exact model sub do you have?

to complete the install, youll need:
    -box...sealed or ported
    -amp
    -amp install kit.
-aftermarket headunit (not needed but improves SQ dramatically over using stock headunit). a in-dash video unit is not needed, especially if you want to keep the price down.
-or if you dont want to buy a aftermarket unit, youll need some sort of high/low adpater.

    Default Quality suggestion

DEAR FRIEND: The simplest configuration would be to mount a head unit of good quality, I recommend a mod.CDA-117 ALPINE WITH IPOD CONTROLLER, AMPLIFIER 6 CHANNEL MODEL G6600, MARK JL AUDIO, which handles YOUR SUBS . OK, in the original ONE DOOR MOUNT TWO-WAY COMPONENT DLS MOD. IRIDIUM at 6.5 inches.
WITH THIS SYSTEM WILL HAVE A GREAT, BUT NOT EXPEND AN AMOUNT OF MONEY VERY LARGE
