Radar Detectors
Is the Valentine One still the standard or are there some other ones that are out there that work as well?
Ive not had one in a few years but was stopped a couple of weeks ago and got a warning, its made me think about gettin another.
What do you use??

I don't know what MTK has, but he's works really good...on our way to LA, every time his radar went off there was a highway patrol....every time, even when they weren't visable....saved him atleast 4-5 time on that trip....

ive used the V1, and now have the passport escort 9500. way smaller. more acurate, gps, and will pick up pigs from miles away

People debate all day long which is the 'best'.
V1 is it. Save yourself the brain damage.

Which ever radar/laser detector you get, you need to have laser shifters as well. The V1 is great for detection, but useless against instant on laser. I use the Passport system. Detection is good, but the shifters are key. Even if you don't get early detection, or you get an instant on, then the shifters mess up the laser signal and alerts you, giving you time to slowdown.
