Ipod control on Yukon OEM dash
Hey guys,
I'm picking up my Yukon XL on thursday, and noticed that it had an AUX in, I want to plug in my ipod in the truck, but is there a way to control it from the dash with just a cable or something?
BTW, it's oem nav unit. Looks just like this

Thanks!

Ipod Integration
What year is it? Does it have a USB connection in center console? Does it have XM radio?

If it's just an aux port like a headphone jack then no you can't control through it. The iPod will only be able to control through the dash when connected through the dock connector. There are headphones available that a series of button presses will perform different functions like the headphones you get with the iPhone 3G and 3GS but I cant think of a in dash unit that can do this.

usaspec.com. Best working device out there. Also allows you to switch modes on the fly to use the click wheel instead of the incredibly slow radio control.

guys there is so much made for this car. they make a direct ipod adaptor that will allow you to control the ipod from the screen. they also make a front screen conversion and vehicle in motion bypass to allow you to access your nav and xm scrolling feature while driving. there are not that expensive. depending on brand the adaptors start at about 250 and climb from there. the front screen conversion are little more expensive. if you guys would like more info feel free to shoot myself or any other sponsors such as mobile addictions or al and eds.
