Best security system for car
So as I walked out to my truck (Cadillac Escalade) this morning getting ready to run a few errands when I noticed my front passenger door was open, thinking this cant be good. Someone broke into my car and stole my radar, ipod, and subs. Awesome right, great way to start out my day. I usually take out my ipod and radar, but the one night I was at home is the one night I should've taken them inside. Thought the tint would help some, but guess not. So now the search is on for the best car security system I can get or the best one for the best value. Any suggestions? Thanks.

anything clifford or viper i suggest. they both have excellent alarms. you can get ones with two way lcd screens so that way if someone does break into the car and your withing a mile you will get beeped from the remote. sorry to hear about the theft! any more questions ask away!

Get something with a proxy sensor, and two way. As suggested, Viper.

Alarms are a false sense of security, imo.
Majority of the break-ins around here are in and out. Even if the alarm was blaring at 3AM they would be gone with your stuff before you got out of bed. While a proxy alarm helps as it gives a larger buffer from alarm going off to actually break in. Also how many times do you walk through a mall parking lot with an alarm going off and even look over to see the car?East bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
we're gonna do what they say can't be done.

Ben@WB showed us a crazy Iphone App that allows you to GPS monitor and shut down your car remotely.

I had a Clifford with up to a quarter mile alert but like said previously, a radar and ipod are snatch and grab jobs. Subs may have been saved but that is it.
But depending on what system you get you can get some other cool items. I could roll my windows/sunroof up and down while inside to cool off the car in the summer or start the car in the winter.-Joe
