Hi Gang,
Looking at either a Kenwood DNX9140 or Pioneer Avic Z110BT unit for the 996. Curious to hear your experience, good or bad, with either model.

DDX814 is the same as DNX9140 but without garmin navigation. Both great units. DNX9140 is a better value.

I have used both units and I would suggest the Pioneer. Its the latest and greatest out right now.

don't have any experience with these particular units but have always used either kenwood or pioneer (except one car with alpine).. I will always go pioneer from here on out.. their products seem to be the most functional and with the most features
